We'd like to take a moment to introduce you to a wonderful organization here in Muskegon, Michigan that is dedicated to providing services like clothes washing, showering, and donation of hygiene items to folks in need.

Sacred Suds, a non-profit organization and ministry, is working in the Muskegon, Michigan area to address the surprisingly high need for homeless, indisposed, and those in need.

Through offering services that help promote human dignity, Sacred Suds is doing something so very important and incredible in our society. You can easily help and it's right here at home--where the need is strong. Please feel free to watch this video on Sacred Sud's YouTube channel about how they've involved the community. Others are available as well!





What we'd like to do:
We'd like to invite you to help us in one of three ways:

a) Raising funds

b) Gathering hygiene items to donate (Don't forget you can download a flyer for your box here:Sacred Suds Collection Flyer

c) Donating a three hour block of your time to work at the facility in whatever way that Sacred Suds sees fit. Call 231-726-4161 to schedule a volunteer opportunity!

As a "kick off" to our volunteer work with Sacred Suds, Women of Diakoneo will be hosting a party to gather materials and funds for donation! Notice that you can help in many ways:

--Bring a box to work or school and collect hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine products, disposable shavers, etc. Sacred Suds Collection Flyer

--Donate money to the project. There are three ways to do this.

Would you like an opportunity to be a part of something that is bigger than you and I without having to leave town? If so, we would like to invite you to join us on Monday December 7th from 6 - 9 pm to shop, relax and enjoy some treats with friends - all for a cause that is more than worthy of our time!

Women At Risk, intl. shelters, teaches and restores women who have been abused and neglected in the most horrible of ways. They teach the women skills and trades that they can use to make and sell items, earning an honest living for themselves and to support their families. WAR intl.'s mission is to unite and educate women to create circles of protection and hope around women at risk through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects.

The jewelry, home decor and other items that will be available to purchase this evening will have been made by the very women that this organization has been able to help. So please join us, bring your friends and family, for a fun and enlightening evening of shopping for a cause!
